Highland Diamond’s mission is to retain the feeling of a private jeweler and trustworthy friend who cares just as much as you do about the quality and meaningfulness of your jewelry. Since opening our doors in 2017 in Atlanta, GA, we have been ranked consistently as one of the top jewelry stores in the city. This is primarily due to the team’s vast knowledge of gems, extensive experience in the jewelry world, and forward-thinking as well as collaborative approaches.
However, it is truly the quality of our finished pieces and unmatched customer service that sets us apart in the industry. Our team works one-on-one with clients to understand their vision, knowing that each purchase is a significant investment. About The Founder
Our founder and owner, John Rothermel, is a Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Diamonds Graduate and began his career in the jewelry industry in 2005. After studying at GIA in New York City, he started on the wholesale side of the business. He began manufacturing his own line of jewelry for auction houses and retail stores. His eye for detail and excellence attracted friends who enlisted his help in creating their custom pieces and engagement rings. From there, his following grew after being featured in People Magazine in 2012 for celebrity jewelry creations. As his volume continued to grow, his private client business reached full capacity, requiring a more prominent home base to showcase his designs and a physical space where clients could visit. In 2017, Highland Diamond officially opened a brick and mortar space right in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia.
